Today's inspiration comes to us from Psalm 46:10 which says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth".

The words be still reminds us not to be moved, not to be moved in what you might ask. I'm here to tell you that it means not to be moved by our negative circumstances, not to be moved when the storms of life are raging over us, not to be moved when we are overwhelmed by emotions and our own thoughts. The Father is reminding us to "be still" come what may and acknowledge his presence everywhere and in everything. God has never left us and he never will, it is us who often times forget him when things are going our way but yet we ask the question "where are you?" when we are faced with difficulties. Verse 11 of the chapter says, "The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge". We see here that our Father is always with us, all we have to do is to be still when faced with uncertainties because the sun will shine again after a rainy day, there is light at the end of a tunnel and there is a God who knows our every need and is able to sustain them. So be still and trust the Lord today.
