Disconnect to Connect

In this life we can get so caught up and busy with everything and forget our source of strength and peace. Life and things can be so time consuming; from raising a family, to our jobs, to school and yes, even ministry. We ought to be careful not to allow our walk to become stagnant and fruitless. Even Jesus went away from his disciples and the crowd to pray and spend time with his Father; Jesus stayed in the presence and the will of God.
Funny enough, instead of finding ways to intentionally disconnect from the things of this world and connect to our Father, somehow we find excuses. So, what's really taking up your time? Social media? Relationships? Your job? School? Often times when God spoke to persons or revealed himself (his glory) in the Bible they were alone and even if they were in a crowd or going about their daily business, their hearts were at a place to hear from God and obey his commands. The Bible declares that where your treasure is, your heart will be also (Matt. 6:21).
So the question is, what has got you disconnected? Is it worth distracting you from the Father and his will? My encouragement to us today is that we intentionally connect to the source of all things, the source of our help and the source of our life. The closer we are to him, the more we hear his voice.
