Do Not Be Conformed, Be Transformed

Often times as Children of God we are swayed by the ways or by the patterns of this world. We get caught up in the now and forget who we are and our intended purpose and when this happens we are left with a feeling of confusion, guilt or even hopeless, but thank God for his grace and his mercies that are new every morning. I am not imploring anyone to take grace for granted, but I say this to say that when we feel lost or are looking too much like the world we can run to the author and finisher of our faith and confess our sins for he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Sometimes all it takes is a made up mind to walk daily on the right path; this is far from easy but it is not impossible and it is worthwhile. Paul urges us in Romans 12:2 that we should not conform to the pattern of this world but we should be transformed by the renewing of our minds that we may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. My brothers and sisters, I urge you all that when you feel like you're being swayed by the ways of this world run back to God and repent because we are not called to be of the world, we are called to be a light in it.
