His Will...

Many times we hear the term His will.. God's will and that is all we want as believers., but do we know what his will for us is? His will is found in his purpose for us. Okay great, we have identified his will for us but to fully live out and understand God's will for us we have to completely surrender to him. We have to put away self and selfish ambitions and allow his Holy Spirit to guide us daily. I bet we are all excited when we have the urge to pray for others or maybe even minster to others but are you holding unforgiveness in your heart? Are you holding a grudge? Have you maliced a sibling or coworker? Have you knowingly offended someone and have refuse to apologize? All of that may just be what is keeping you from surrendering totally to God. In order to live out His will fully we have to die to self daily; our selfish ambitions, the malice, the hatred, the bitterness, the unforgiveness and allow him to heal the broken parts of our soul. His will will crush you; thinking that you have it all together only to realize all the things you have been bound by holding you back in a place that you should not be in. Truth is, sometimes as Christians or believers we do not like to admit to ourselves that we need healing, we do not like to acknowledge the giants in our way and most importantly we do not expose our most brutal scars to the one who loves us most. His will may be uncomfortable but he will never give you more than you can bear. Jesus urges us to take up the cross and follow him daily. I have never even seen a real cross infront of me and I can only imagine the weight that it has. His will for today may simply be not to respond to that coworker... sounds simple right? But then there goes the tongue slipping. Brothers and sisters it can be so easy to say "yes Lord, your will is all I want" but how about surrendering? Jesus surrendered completely to the will of God even when he was in the garden praying, I can only imagine how difficult it must have been that his sweat even turned to blood. Beloved, I urge each of us to turn from our ways and surrender to the Father and his will for us sincerely and whole heartedly.
