Today's reminder is our sins don't define us; God's love does. Go through out today and the rest of the year knowing that your sins are forgiven; God does not hold our sins against us. 1 John 1:9 says, "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness".

Often times we hang our heads in shame over a sin that was committed 10 years ago and we often times label ourselves as our past sins or mistakes even after we have come to Christ. The truth is it is not easy to let go of our sins but be confident knowing that God is faithful and just to forgive us of all our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We ought not to identify ourselves as who we used to be and what we used to do, instead we should run to God and embrace his grace and forgiveness when thoughts of the past try to weigh us down.

When sins of the past try to haunt you just speak the truth of GRACE over your life: you are loved, you are precious, you are bought with a price, you are set free, you are forgiven, you are redeemed and you are cleansed from all unrighteousness.
