What's Your Excuse?

I feel like a lot of us have used the phrase "I can't do this" or "That's not my strong suit". To an extent those are understandable responses however, are you doing the best with what you have been given? Often times we come up with excuses not to serve the Lord because we are not gifted in a certain area and I'm not saying force yourself to do what everyone else is doing, what I am saying however is use whatever gifts and talents you were given for His glory.
In Psalm 150 the Psalmist urges us to use every possible avenue to praise the Lord and he sums it up in the best way possible... "Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord." So in essence once you are alive you can praise him, you basically don't have an excuse not to. Another thing that we love to do is look at our shortcomings despite what the Lord has said about us or what He has called us to do. Moses had an excuse, but God showed him that He can use anything and anyone to do His will, even a man of slow speech.
God is not asking us all to be singers, or dancers, or writers, all He is saying is use what I have given you for my glory. Let us not become like the servant who hid the one talent that he was given thinking that he was doing any good. Moses' excuse didn't stop God from turning his staff into a serpent, his excuse didn't stop God from allowing his hand to become withered then whole again, his excuse didn't stop God from delivering the Israelites from Egypt so why do we think our excuses will exempt us from Him using whatever He has placed inside of us for His glory? Think to yourselves, "what can I do for the Lord with what He has given me?" Put away the excuses for the rest of the year and say yes to what He has called you to do because once He has called you He has the ability to equip you!
