Your Red Sea

Imagine being in slavery for years- generations even and you're on the brink of being freed. Then when you actually do become free and escaping your past moving towards the future, then suddenly you come to a halt. There's a red sea before you and the only way to get to the other side is through it but you don't understand how. At this point you probably think it's best to turn back, afterall you're going to die anyway right? I mean, enemies behind and a sea infront, might as well give up. But that's where you're wrong! So were the Israelites, after coming upon the red sea they thought Moses brought them out of Egypt to die. In the same way with our situations when God takes us out of a bad one and is taking us to better we tend to complain a lot when we come up on our "RED SEA". The Israelites didn't understand what the next move would be, so too we often find ourselves surrounded by a myriad of questions in regards to what is next. Your anticipation grows slim, your prayer life starts to fade, you start to doubt, you probably start wondering where is God in all of the turmoil that you are facing, but all we have to do is be still. The reality is God already told Moses what to do and what would happen and that did indeed happen. Just like the Israelites we are limited in our understanding of God's power and what he can do. What is impossible with man is possible with God and what we need to understand is that if God says he is going to do it believe that he is going to do it and do it better than we even expected! So, the next time you come upon another "RED SEA" in your life instead of murmuring, complaining or doubting try praising, praying and waiting.
